CONCEPTS

FAIR TRADE

Fair trade is a business model that puts human beings and the social,
economic and environmental sustainability of societies at the center,
dignifying work, respecting the environment and promoting
responsible and sustainable management of natural resources.

RECYCLED YARN (REGENERATED)

Textile waste that can no longer be used goes through a fraying
process, transforming it into fiber, which can be used to make
new threads and be used in making other garments. From the fiber
obtained from textile waste, new threads can be made.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton has been grown with natural seeds,
and no pesticides or other harmful chemicals are used for the crop.
Pests are controlled with the use of other insects that kill them. As a result,
organic cotton is presented as a healthier alternative for the skin.

UPCYCLING

Upcycling consists of taking advantage of products, residues or waste materials
with the aim of manufacturing new products or materials of higher quality.
Transferred to fashion, it is the reuse of a garment or fabric that
for some reason it is decided to stop using it.

The reuse of discarded fabrics due to excess production,
differences in colors or weights from the sample to production, etc.
Also uncatalogued garments or stocks of obsolete garments.

SLOW FASHION

Clothes of natural origin, recycled, comfortable and respectful of the environment
and people, the so-called slow fashion, is the ethical option compared to fast fashion.
Although at Why-Guay we do not produce fashion (we believe in the timelessness of
our garments) we do identify with the movement. Slow wear, it would be
our concrete concept.

PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The circular economy is an economic concept that is interrelated with sustainability, and whose objective is that the value of products, materials and resources is maintained in the economy for as long as possible, minimizing waste.

PROXIMITY CONSUMPTION

Proximity consumption refers to the distance between the point of origin and the point of consumption of the product. This consumption means making use of the shops and businesses closest to our homes, thus saving energy costs in the use of private vehicles.
